Re: AfterMarket Halo headlights

I just installed halos on my boys MX-6. The connector should be the same. It should have come with a new one or it should just use the old one.

Halos are easy to wire too. The black wire goes to any ground source. The red wire (or white wire, which ever) goes to any (+) source. With the mx6, I wired it to the side marker. So when parking lights or headlights are one, the halos are on. It went to the red wire on the 6, but that one had 3 wires. Don't know it our cars have 2 or 3 wires. Test the wire to see which ones are active when the lights are on.

I would say contact the people you bought it from and see what the deal is with the connector. They should help.

I already posted this before but the pics arent loading. Just splice the appropriate wires into the stock connector.

Re: AfterMarket Halo headlights

yeah when i put my halo projectors it was a bitch, 4 bolts broke while romoving the bumper cover so i went to Sears Hardware and replaced all the bolts, i also had to rewire the harness, i had to take it out of my stock headlights and splice them all together, then my bright light connectors didnt plug in b/c the female end was different from the stock male end, so i had to splice those together. trust me it sucks balls and takes a LONG time! but it looks sweet, i guess thats what i get for getting them off of e-bay lol good luck man!

Thanks. I made these, and others, a long time ago for the manufacturer and seller on E-Bay. These halos were advertised as "plug-n-play", and ofcouse, splicing wires and chopping connectors isn't "plug-n-play". They asked me to explain, so I sent these and some photos, but they never got back to me. No harm done though...

Exactly, mine needed to be spliced and such too. Btw you dont have to take off the front bumper and be ready to replace those halo bulbs in about 2 months...I still havent found anything that'll work for my burnt out halos.

Re: AfterMarket Halo headlights

Everything opn my car is zip-tied!! At work I always use them, so I have pockets full of them when I get home. I then use them in the car and they last.

Re: AfterMarket Halo headlights

you just pay attention when you take the harness out of your stock headlights, which wires go to bright lights, regular lights, and parking lights then plug in the adapters (that fit) from the halo lights into the harness and then plug in the harness. its easy trust me.

Re: AfterMarket Halo headlights

Same here. My LEDs are on with the zip ties. Its easy then to take off in the winter. Clip clip, and I can put em in storage. Sweet.
