2003 Ranger blower fan quit

With no warning the blower fan quit working on our 2003 Ranger. I checked the fuses and they are fine, any suggestions?

Well that was wierd, today it works.
Anybody have any ideas as to why it would cut out completely for 24 hours and come back to life?

Possibly a loose connection at the blower motor??
