question about HAsport mounts

I did a LS swap with some no-name mounts and I am having problems with the motor sitting correctly.
My question is, do any of you that used Hasport mount have any problems like, hitting the hood, vibration through out the car from the motor, shit like that. let me know, thanks.

Re: question about HAsport mounts

Im using place racing mounts and my hood just barely hits my valve cover, but the motor sits nicely.
What are the problems you are having? and how bad are they?

Re: Re: question about HAsport mounts

we have hasport mounts...the valve cover rubbed on the hood big time. a USDM spec JDM style CF hood solved that problem

we just did 90civicrider's b16 swap and used AVID mounts, his hood didn't hit or rub...which we were worried about as his engine bay and hood had been freshly painted (during swap time) to match his exterior orange.

edit: after seeing the mounts in his car, our shop now carries AVID mounts

Re: question about HAsport mounts

i used hcps cleared everything fine, no vibrations, i really liked em. Did you bend down the lip on the rear crossmember in front of the rear tranny mount? if not that could be your vibration problem.

I agree, I got my whole swap from HCP. No probs with clearance or anything, unless you count puttin the whole swap in the back of my hatch.

Kunundrum, did you get the 3 or 4 mount set? I have the 3 mount, it has some vibration, but I was expecting that.

Re: question about HAsport mounts

i got the 3 pc hcp mount kit no vibrations at all. basically you would think the car is stock as far as vibrations go.

well basicly, the alt. pully was rubbing on the chassis, something is hitting on the pass. side. and I can't plug my VSS in, the rear motor mount, the way it's designed, it ends up right over it. The other thing that concerns me is, if I change the mounts at this point, will my linkage still be the correct lenth. it was cut and extended, to work correctly.
Thanks for all the info. is there any site to look at and purchase these mounts you guys are suggesting? I would like to look into these avid mounts.
