Post Cleaning out the Blower Motor...

Earlier today my A/C wasnt blowing as hard as it should (when put at the #4 spot it was barley pumping out the air) I have also had problems with the blower motor starting at all and normally "solved" the problem by beating the crap out of it.

But now because of this forum I have fixed the problem hopefully for good.

Cleaning the blower was very easy:

1. Take off your glove box by removing the two screws at the bottom
2. Directly underneath your glove box sits the blower motor / fan
3. Take the four screws out that hold the motor in place and the entire assembly will drop right out.
4. Disconnect the wiring clip from the motor and your all set.
5. Now you'll be looking at the fan with the motor beneath
6. Just remove the retaining clip and pull up on the fan assembly to take it out.
7. Clean out all the dust and debris from the fan blades and motor itself
8. Lube up the motor with some W/D 40 and work the motor until it spins freely
9. Now just reassembly everthing and go man go .....it'll be blowing harder than that girl you met in Tijuana last week

As I said before I couldnt of done it without this forum and I thank you again...

By the way this is for a 2001 Rodeo and only took about 30 minutes from beginning to end with nothing but a phillips screwdriver and needle nose pliers.
