check engine light
can anyone tell me why my check engine light would be on. Nothing wrong with the truck but the light intermittently comes on for a few days, then off. Any suggestions?

I bought a scanner at Nappa yesterday for $150. It's good for any vehicles that have 2nd generation computer technology. In the last 6 mo. my service 'service engine soon" light has come on 3 or 4 times. I thought it a good thing to have since I'm going to squeeze every mile I can out of this beast.

I don't think that every time the light comes on, that there is something wrong. I have the same problem with a 2000 Suburban. Ya Know what it was. It was the fuel cap sensor, as weird as that sounds. And it was also the humidity and a bad connection to one of the sensors.
