sounds like one of your intercooler pipes has come loose, check the connections. The easiest way to find something like that is to pressure test. If you have access to an air compressor/air tank, then you can build your own pressure tester in which if you search the drop box on stealth316.com, you can find it. Other wise you can buy one from 3sxperformance or look up robbeck on 3si.org

Yeah, check your intercooler pipes and your y-pipe going into your throttle body.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: loss of boost pressure....?

I agree with both - i already had that problem ... when i was racing a audi S6 bi-turbo i was pushin her hard to win an sounded like a blew a vacume line or something it took me a while to figure out what acually happend - untill i looked down in the front by my radiator on the drivers side - I blew the hose an clamp off the cooler bung.... i was like holy smokes - cause the car ran like hell - like someone dumped sealer in my valves - then reconnected it an ran like new again....

Re: loss of boost pressure....?

you can also try throwing some dry gas in the tank b4 u get to the point of checking inside the engine - u might have some moisture or water in your gas or tank that doesnt want to leave ...
