4x4 removal

I have an 02 trailblazer andit sometimes shifts into 4wd by itself. I have never needed to use the 4wd and was wondering if there is some fuse i could pull out to make the 4wd no longer work or maybe i can just remove the front driveshaft? I really dont wanna spend money fixing something I never use. The car only has 34k on it . Some please help, Thanks

I had the same problem about 4-5 month ago, I would be driving along and it would switch into four-wheel drive. Then about 3 wks ago I noticed that the indicator light on the switch was not on, so I posted on here (4-wheel drive indicator light) and a guy responded and said that it wasn't a burnt out bulb, it was a bad switch that would need replaced. I'm not sure how much it is going to cost to get it fix, but I probably will because I will need it this winter, it can get bad here in OH.

If I were you I might look into getting it fixed because it will help in the resale value if you ever get rid of it.
