I have been having problems with the outdoor temp displaying erratic readings on my Intrigue. I disconnected the ambient temp sensor and removed it. I went to Advance Auto hoping to get a replacement, but they do not have one available. Anyway while it was disconnected, it would display 50 degrees constant, now that I have reconnected the
old sensor, it still displays a constant 50 degree reading. Does the system require some sort or reset? Thank You! |

Re: Ambient Temperature Sensor
I had mine and the HVAC controls replaced under warranty. I don't know if they both have to be replaced at the same time or not. My car originally had the "A/C" button on it but now has the "ECON" button instead which I was told was the updated controls. An easy test would be to disconnect the battery for at least 15 minutes and see if that resets it.

Ambient Temperature Sensor
Thanks for the response burijon. This morning, I noticed that it was displaying a reading other then 50 degrees, although I know the displayed temp is not correct. I also had the HVAC controls replaced under warranty. I have been having problems with incorrect temp readings, infact several times it has said that the temp would be 32 or lower, and the A/C would shut off and not operate untill the displayed temp had risen above 35 degrees. Anyway I'm going to replace the ambient temp sensor, and see if that helps.
Thanks dwest1 |
