SRT-4 ACR 05 AC gets hot and cold sometimes

Just wondering to those who have srt 4 i just got mine and live in Bakersfield California. The weather here has been in the 100's for the past three weeks and when i'm driving sometimes the ac does not cool good. Is this normal or should I take it back to dealer. I never really trusted dealers and would rather hear it from other owners first hand. Thanks for your imput...Mike

Re: SRT-4 ACR 05 AC gets hot and cold sometimes

if you have the air coming from outside (the dial all the way on the right) and your not moving very fast, it will heat up. if it is recirculating air from inside, it will cool off in the city, but after about an hour of that, it tends to warm up a bit still. that has to due with the crappy r134 coolant used in your air conditioning! if we could only go back to r12, it cooled so much better, too bad it ate the ozone!
