5th gear problem
Is it normal for 1998 Honda Civic EX, manual transaxle, to be at 5500-6000RPMs at 65-70MPH in 5th gear?

Re: 5th gear problem
not at all. 5th gear is actually your overdrive, and from the looks of it its probably not engaging the gear (its stuck in 4th), i dont know how to specifically fix it though

i agree it might not be engaging all the way. try pressing the clutch a few times then puting it into gear. make sure the clutch is pushed alll the way in.

I have a 1996 EX 5spd and when I have it in 5th gear at about 65-70 the RPM's sit at about 3k or so. Maybe a little lower.
