I have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee that recently started having problems. I changed out the O-Ring in the Fuel Pump about a year or so ago. This was due to the TSB that the O-Ring fails, causing it to become hard to start (turns the engine over for a period of time before starting due to loss of fuel pressure). Anyway, I'm not sure what's causing this, but when I start it, it will run fine if I rev it up, but idle's down until it dies (about 1-2 seconds). I'm not sure if this started at the same time or not, but I have also noted that the Avg MPG in the info center resets everytime that i turn the vehicle off for a couple of minutes or so. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

You should probally run a Fuel Pressure Test to make sure have the right pressure. Most of the time if the Jeep runs good and stalls at Idle it usally is the IAC Motor located on the back of the Throttle Body. Jeeps are known for this problem. Try cleaning the Throttle Body and Iac with Carb Cleaner or Laquer Thinner it might solve your problem. If not you will have to replace the IAC assuming the Fuel Pressure is on spec.

Re: '00 JGC Stall at low idle
Thanks for the info...I will try this and hopefully it will work. Any idea on the info center resetting everytime that I turn the vehicle off? I can't find a setting that will do this.
