97 gst OVERHEATING
I just got a 97 gst. It was overheating so I replace the thermastat, the water pump, the radiator cap, and I check all the hoses and the radiator. But it still overheated. So I was sure it was the head. I took the head to a machine shop and resurfaced it. I also replace the head gasket but it still overheated. I have no clue what it could be. Is there anything I missed?

Re: 97 gst OVERHEATING
You pretty much covered everything I would have shot for. It would be a good idea to check for:
loss of coolant (leak within radiator)? blown cooling fans? |

Re: 97 gst OVERHEATING
I took off the valve cover and turn on the car. I notice white smoke coming from one of the intake valves. would a bad valve cause it to overheat? Oh, and I just remebered I took out the thermastat befor I put the head back on. So my car as no thermastat right now. Can that make it overheat also.
