Buying a Stealth R/T TT

Hey guys my dad is thinking of buying a 91 R/t with 72,000 miles on it leather and fully loaded. The dealer wants 10,900 for it?? i have been researching the cars price and it says its worth high 7's. is it over priced or are the tt's selling for this high? also is there anything i should look for that could be a problem? the timing belt has been replaced which i read can be a problem. thanks for the info

Good condition stealth R/Ts and the twin turbos in general can sell for whatever the guy wants for it basically. That is high though but if the guy thinks he can sell it for that much then he probably will. Find out if anything else new was put into it or if anything was rebuilt. I wouldnt pay that much for a 91 though, 93 and up is a better stealth imo.

Re: Buying a Stealth R/T TT

that too high for a 91 steath tt dont get rip off from a dealer, there are many other better one out there, the value price for that on a private seller would be like 6000
and dealer should be about 8000 and that dealer want it for about 11000 dont do it, tell your dad to take time, when you buy a car dont ever buy the first car you see it take awhile to look for the right one

Re: Buying a Stealth R/T TT

You could try talking the dealer down, but in general, they will be selling higher at a dealership than they would with a private seller. Same thing happened to me when I was looking for a vr4, found a nice one, but they were asking 7k too much. You just gotta take your time.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Um, my 96 has AWS...and I think all of them do, but I'm not 100% sure. The generations are 91-93, and 94-99. There is a list of the important mechanical differences in the FAQ...check it out.
