are camaro 3.4 engines the same as impala 3.4 engines?
I know there both V6.
The reason i ask is there is a cam in the jegs book that says for camaro 3.4L engines.. and i would like to put one in my impala.. Thanks

Yes, all 3.4 engines should be the same. It should fit.

You have a part number for the cam you want. I will check if its for your application.

Those two might be the same, but I am pretty sure there are two different GM 3.4L engines... Maybe not though I could be wrong.

thanks, the jegs book says for chevy 2.8,3.1, and 3.4L V6 engines.
The part number is 270-254112

I would think there different engines but not 100% sure.

I wouldnt think so, I mean the 3.8/3.4 engine that is in the Monte Carlo is also in.. the Impala, Malibu, Grand Am, Grand Prix. So you bet your ass it isnt different.

Depends, there are RWD 3.4's and FWD 3.4's. The FWD ones have OHC's, which makes the block and everything completely different from the RWD one. If your Impala is RWD (as I'm assuming it is), then yeah, it should fit fine.

I retract my previous statement. You have the FWD 3.4. Not sure if it's a SOHC or DOHC. But it's completely different from that in the Camaro's.
