Question Buick Quality

Some years ago GM was sued in a class action suit because they were putting Chevy engines in Olds and Buick cars. Are they still doing this? I may be wrong but I believe Buick engines are superior over the Chevy engine. There is a difference in HP in the 3.8, Buick 205HP over Chevys 200HP. Does anyone know anything about this? I am hoping the Buick is a better 3.8 engine. Am I just dumb or what?

Re: Buick Quality

years ago, each division developed different variations of certain engines.

Today all of the engines are made by GM powertrain, and the 3800 in the Buicks are the same as the chevys and pontiacs. any differences are minor, and usually the extra 5hp for buick is there to intice those on the fence of whether to pop for the buick or not to go for the buick.

Sorry to dissapoint, but the 3800 is a solid reliable engine that'll perform for years in any car.

I am not disapointed. I know this engine is great. I had a 1995 olds 88 with it in it. I just wondered if they had better engines in the Buicks.
