6th Gen Accord Questions

I am looking to purchase a 2 door 6th gen Accord, more than likely a 98, for cost purposes.

Anyways, I was considering the V6, since it has decent performance, but have read about the tranny issues, was there ever a recall, or is it just an expensive repair waiting to happen?

What are some options that were offered for these years? (I.E., traction control, ABS Front-Rear, Leather, Interior Colors, Power Seart, etc.)

How are the 4 bangers performance compared to the V6?

Was a CVT ever offered in the 6th Gen Accords?

Any else that I should be noted about?



And it's doubtful I'll get anything from these boards, but is there any other comparable car to this?

I don't think you can get a CVT accord.

I have a 99 4cyl 4dr w/5speed. My car is plenty fast to get me into trouble.

If you get teh EX model, it comes with a lot of options.
My EX has, ABS, Cruise, MoonRoof, and a lot more options. Because I have a manual, I don't have Traction CNtrl and I didn't opt for the leather, but it is available with automatics.
The V6 has 200hp and the 4cyl has 150. The V6 is only available with an automatic tranny while the 4cyl is available with a manual (which is what I have ) The 1/4 mile time for the V6 is a 15.8 but most people run low 16's. because of it's 4speed auto. The time for the 4cyl is mid 16's but my personal best is was a 16.3 with a CAI.
Also, the V6 is known for having tranny problems.
