98 Blazer 4WD Engages while stopped but not while on the fly

I have a 98 Chevy Blazer, recenlty had the transmission value body replaced, which just startte to not go into 4wd while ON the fly, - Like 25 - 35 MPH. HOwever if I slow the car down to a sotp while still in gear or whith it stopped in park it will engage the 4wd.

Also seems to be slow with disengagement a little to . Anyone every heard of this?

How much did it cost to have your valve body replaced?

Great I ask a question I get a different question!! Just kidding.

It cost me about $680.. but I think that is becuase my brother-in-law is the VP of Sales for a multi-chain CarDealership and they have a Chevy Dealership where I get a "I married your sister" discount. I believe that another dealer quoted me around $900.00 to fix. I'll tell you what though, the thing works perfect now that they fixed it. It apparently they can run diagnotics at different temps to simulate the faiulre of the Valve body.

Valve body has nothing to do with your 4x4.

Hope you didn't replace it to fix that because if you did, the mechanic screwed you.

I had the value body replaced because of a P1870 Code (Think that was the number anyway) Hard Shift from 1rst to 2nd once warmed up.

Only put that in just incase during the fix, they may have caused somthing else that would have to do with the 4WD Engagement problems I am having.

Hey since you know a heck of alot more on this than me can you give me any idea what could be causing my 4WD Drive to ingage while stopped but not on the fly? I would appreciate any insight you may have.
