its actually $300, but since you're married and I'm assuming filed jointly, you got $600 back

btw... not everyone gets it at the same time. I got a letter stating mine would be in August.. while my parents got one that said September.

*shrug*

Me either, or if I do have one, he isn't sending money I got the letter saying that I don't qualify, probably cause i'm still classified as a dependent. oh well, less worried cause i don't need to get insurance and crap like that... 300 would have been nice though, that'd be my exhaust right there... DOH!

Right now, I'm trying real hard not to make the connection that I'm getting a $300 check and the PlayStation 2 is $299. I don't think my wife'd go for that.

(If I do get it that way, I'll christen it the "George W. Bush PlayStation 2." I don't like him much, but if he buys me a PX2, I'll like him just a little bit more )

primeraman- yah, it's a usa thing where we paid taxes last year, but the country is giving us back some doe as a tax break. well, they need to keep this recession to a minimum, so they want us to keep spending on mods. hehehe.

psx2??! psx2GTurismo package is only $200 in japan. woohoo, probably gonna get that next time I'm down there. oop, we're suppose to spend the money in the usa... blahahahahahahhaa george!!!:frog:

Well, it's our money. We just get it back. Without interest.

well.. the government is only giving you this money to make back even more next year!!

the $300 must be declared as income next year (just like any tax return) so guess what? you're getting taxed even more if you think about it!

$300 times millions of tax payers = a lot more money to tax next year!

talk about a revenue boost!!!

Well, I just got my letter in the mail the other day. I filed single so only 300. Not like I'm complaining. Probably hit off one of my credit cards that is milking me of extra cash.
