check lights

bought my 17yr. old son a '87 325 beautiful car... both the oil light and coolant level light below rear view mirror are staying on ..... levels are fine...just did oil change.... any ideas on how to reset lights or what I should look for? thanks

You might need new sensors.

it does sound like a disconnected / failed sensor or maybe a wiring fault somewhere.
