why I can't stand people bashing 15/16/17yr old street racing fanatics

1.) most "adults" are hippocrits and have done the same shit
2.) its not just kids that are crashing, so therefore a finger shouldn't be "pointed" just at this age group, but every group.

3.)I quote a comment that i thought was rather unnecessary, but the identity will remain secret:

"Fuck him. I hope he learns his lesson. Which he probably won't. He'll just get another car and fuck it up somehow. Making US pay for it.

I say we kill him and his kind. Plain and simple. Anybody you see around town that's an idiot. Just take him out of the gene pool with a 9mm.

- anyone around town thats an idiot will more than likely drive at speeds excess of 100mph blow a tire and go flipping. before you slam someone for doing something stupid. think of others who have done the same.

1.) Ever heard of the phrase, "Learn from history or repeat it?"
2.) Sure, everybody crashes, but lets be real, teenagers crash more. A WHOLE LOT MORE.
3.) It was a rant so don't take it so personal. I agree with him though on this one. Doing something that stupid IN TRAFFIC will only affect our insurance.

really all this is about judgement, whether it be the parents (why does my son/daughter need this 500hp mustang?) or the child (what would make you want to do something like that during the day?).

you can be a 16 year old driver or a 40 year old driver, making bad decisions will screw you no matter what. thats why drivers need the knowlege of the car, road, conditions, other drivers and the situation (be it stop and go traffic or city driving, backroads, etc.) AND know when to use that knowledge.

Why? Because statisticly it IS the age group that does cause the most accidents. Since you said it first, KIDS will be kids, and sometimes kids do stupid shit without thinking PERIOD! Why the hell do you think some parents cringe when their children start driving? Because their Auto Insurance rate more than doubles the very day the License is issued, those rates reflect those statistics and they have the right to charge accordingly. At the minimum legal driving age YOU are considered an "inexperienced driver" in their eyes and you will stay at that designation until age 21 (some insurance companies won't lower rates until age 24!) whether you had an accident or ticket or not. You can be the safest teen driver on the road but you will still be labeled as such because statisticly, the odds are against you that you will not do something dumb in a vehicle.

The identity of that quote although may be extreme is no secret to anybody who reads this forum and thus knows exactly where that quote came from. But your following comment was a very, VERY BAD choice of words! Especially in the light of the recent passing of a very highly regarded member and moderator of AF. Even if it wasn't intended to be a dig, that comment will still be taken to heart as such by a lot of AF members and friends whom are still in a state of shock and in mourning as a result of this tragedy.

Making light of sensitive topics because someone "hurt your feelings" just proves that you are a little brat. I can't believe that the government thinks you are old enough to be operating something as dangerous as a car.
