I NEED info BADLY on this please, any help would be appriciated

OK I am 16 years old, and am now looking for a hot car, on a tight buget; like most teenagers.

Anyways my idea comes from passed on information I have "heard" and do not yet know if it's true. Any information will be greatly appreciated and helpful, whether its private to my email or on the forums.

Ok so I "heard" that to make it seem as if you have a hot car... Some teenagers or peopel ahve taken a Pontiac Fiero, (I'm not sure which year) and as some of you may know, and from what I have heard...That type of car has a body which can be removed nicely, in order to make room for something special.

Yes I'm talking about a fiberglass body of a 94 or 95 or whatever year fits, Dodge viper, I know it's not just snap into place work, and that it requires some if not many new parts to accquire the transformation.

However I am up for the challenge, however I need information anyone has as to where to start, prices, and any tips or instructions or advice you may have.

I know it'll still be the fiero car and the dodge body, but I'm a kind of teen which most are, which rely on the look of the car...with decent performance, I know that fieros are not the most trustworthy cars in thw world, howvere are cheap to fix, if it were to break down.

But I was wondering if anyone had info on this or a site, or possibly price ranges for a fiberglass body etc.... (I do have a friend who makes fiberglass bodies I will talk to him, well actually his dad but u get the idea)

ANY TYPE OF INFORMATION will help GREATLY.

Thanx very much for reading and helping, and sorry for any errors in typing...

if it means anything I live in Victoria, B.C., Canada.

thanx again!
-Chris

I am as confused by it as you are Ales.

My best guess is another mod read it, and bumbed the "hide post" button. Its easy to do, and you have to refreash the page to see that you've done it. (but it does open another window to tell you its being done).

Either that or the kid asked a mod to remove the post so he could make another post in the kit car forum.

Either way Iv put it back untill someone who knows otherwise gives a good reason for hiding it.

IMO, people are going to think you're a poseur if you put a viper body on a fiero chassis. If you're willing to put in that much work anyway, just buy a wrecked viper and fix it up.

Whoa, before you go bashin' Fieros, get the facts straight!!!

This is a Fiero. 87' GT, with an LT1 V8, and a chopped top.

Nice huh? Guess what... Mid-engined too. The First and Only Mid-Engined American Car.

Need I mention the fact that the 4 banger is capable of over 1000HP? (e-mail me for more details bout' that)

This car was the first to use the rust and dent proof plastic body panels that saturn uses, that's why there's so many body kits for this thing, cause it's easier to do than most cars. And it has a NHTSA Double 5-Star Safety Rating.

And with the proper upgrades, you can achieve 60-0 in 93Ft, and Lateral G's in excess of 1.13. The Corvette is 60-0 in 97ft with .99 Lateral G's. And this thing weighs 2500Lbs, so you could have the same HP as a vette, but you'd accellerate faster, cause of less weight. 2 seats, just like the vette.

Oh, and reliability, that's covered too. This thing can outlast every other American car, and then Toyotas and VW's too. My friend has an 87' GT (like above) and he has 346,000 Miles on it.
ORIGINAL ENGINE, ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION, ORIGINAL CLUTCH, ORIGINAL GASKETS, ORIGINAL EXHAUST, NEVER BEEN REBUILT, NEVER BROKE DOWN, ALL ORIGINAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NUFF SAID???!!!!????!!!!

Supposedly Pontiac was going to bring back the Fiero as a 2003 model (2003 Fiero GT, sounds catchy) to replace the Firebird.
But Cadillac had a better idea.
The Cien V-12, Mid-engined American Exotic (2005)

But Pontiac has something better to replace the Firebird. Two things actually!
The Solstice (2004) 240Hp Supercharged EcoTec, but is capable of holding a V8 (e-mail me for more info)
The coupe...

And the roadster.

And... The new GTO (2004)

The 2002 Sunfire GT

And the new Sunfire (2003)

And the new Grand Am SC-T (2003-2004)

And the new Bonneville (2004-2005)

And the new Grand Prix G-Force with 280HP and .85 Lateral G's (2004)

So, with all of that, Pontiac is going to kick ass. But till those lovely machines hit the assembly line in 2 years, GET A FIERO, e-mail me at [email protected], and I will give you so much info, your head will explode.

Oh, and here's another LT1 Fiero. This is how my Fiero looks, except mine is black, and has the 4 banger, which is getting a turbo at the end of this summer.

Oh, and if you want pics of the 89' Fiero, e-mail me. It's a rare concept car.

I have heard about this, and I have heard that it looks horrid when done. The ugly thing about the Fieros are the wheels for the most part, easy change there. As you can see from fieroturbo's pics there are some great looking ones out there. Just check out Ride Judge.com and you will see a lot of good looking ones on there.

But it's still a Fiero when you're finished adding engines and whatnot. Kinda like a chocolate covered dog turd. I went to high school with a guy who had a Lamborghini kit on a Fiero. He could barely squeak the tires when the ground was soaking in rain. He would act bad-ass on campus.

Hi.
Please , don't be a faker man. Maybe the Viper-body will look good , but it's not the genuine stuff. What's wrong with a Fiero by the way? I know quite a lot of people who would be really excited when they could drive one!
When you're young , like me , you just can't afford a really expensive car. I drive a small Ford Fiesta at the moment since my BMW-customproject isn't finished yet. (BMW is an oldtimer of 1969 for which I only paid 500 Euro , still in decent condition thou).
When driven a basic car first one could appreciate a more sophisticated one better.
My suggestion to you would be : do not put a Viper-body on an other car. By it looks one would think of it as a real mean machine but the chassis and the engine would not match up the body. Thus resulting in a lot of frustration in the end. I would keep the Fiero and modifie it if needed.

PS : maybe not in the USA , but in Europe the Fiero is very very very hard to find ! Never seen one in my life and I visit carshows quite regularly. Sadly enough ... only pictures man , only pictures .
