My break light is out on my Bronco II (4WD) 1986.The light bulb and break light switch is fine and there is no power running into the switch.
How is the break light switch wired to the battery? I cant see if it goes to the main fuse box. I only have the Haynes Repair Manuel but the wiring diagram is not the best. Any suggestions to how I can find the missing power? Best Joachim |

Break light
Mostly everything goes to the fuse box to ensure vehicle safety. One of the fuses is probably blown. I'd look under the dash where the pedals are for the fuse box. When you find it, there should be a fuse with black soot in it, Replace that and it should do the trick. If it is not the fuse, it can also be a loose wire. Take the problematic tail light out. I mean the whole thing and see if the wires are loose or disconnected.
