finally heard (and felt) a tanabe racing medallion exhaust.wow.

i was driving home today and i heard and felt something rumbling from behind me and i looked back and about a block, block and a half back comes an accord rolling up. it pulls up next to me at a light. and at idle it is queiter then i thought. the reason i know it was a tanabe is cuz i asked the guy while we were at the light. just had to know what it was and it looked like one to cuz it was so fuckin huge. i loved it. well anyways when it took off i almost wet my pants cuz i felt the ground rumbling underneath me. all i can say is that this just finalized my decision on a tanabe racing medallion exhaust. well just thought i would share my first experience with a tanabe with you.

believe me when i say this was no weedwacker. this was the deepest sounding exhaust i have ever heard. this was a very deep roar and i could actually feel my the ground underneath me rumbling. i recommend this for anybody still deciding on a exhaust.

i hate loud ass exhaust pipes. To me, those scream, "LOOK AT ME I WANT TO BE HEARD BY ALL TO LAUGH AT MY RICEBOY FARTPIPE" I personally like a quieter exhaust. but if its what you want, go for it.

just remember loudest doesnt mean best performing

is that a turbo or sc? if it is a sc then how much is it, but it really looks like a turbo and i have decided to go with a sc cuz of reliability and i want to keep my engine around for a while. but please more info on the garrett t3/t4 snail. please. maybe that might sway me.

erm.....your next mod is a supercharger (after a possible intake upgrade..) and you cant tell the difference between a turbo or a supercharger? perhaps you might be biting off a bit more than you can chew
thats a turbo.. they are run by exhaust gases...superchargers are belt-driven.

Turbo systems when properly tuned DO NOT change your engines reliability. Its when you take a stock motor, and shoot it with 12 psi that you get problems. A properly built and tuned motor can do 20 psi all day long if you got the balls and the pockets to do it.

You could add 6-7 psi from a turbo or 8-10 psi with an intercooler and good tuning and still have a perfectly driveable, perfectly reliable Honda motor :bandit:

Do some research guys, search through the past posts and read through www.howstuffworks.com (look up turbos, superchargers..etc.).

I like the RM, but the first time seeing/hearing it? Good lord you're sheltered! It's the most bought exhaust out there (maybe not, but it's definetly not rare). But, that loud noise is annoying. My friend had his w/o the silencer for a few days before it went in. He has freakin' partial hearing loss. Louder is certainly not better.

I do enjoy a nice roar when i feel like it...but still...
