Oil in air intake container beyond air filter just before throttle body
1995 Nissan Maxima 6 cyl
Oil in air intake container beyond air filter just before throttle body This is the air intake container that connects to the resonator container that has the air hose (I assume thats what that is for) connected to the engine. I'm learning as I go and it just seems very logical that there should be no drops of oil collecting in the air intake container before the throttle body. What is this an indication of? FYI - As you would expect the throttle body and intake plenum are filthy. When you rev the car up high in park to about 3k - 5k rpms and let go of the accelerator abruptly the car stalls. It also stalls when coming to a stop (only when coming to a stop; especially fast stops). What is this an indication of? It has been in the shop for computer code checking and came back with nothing, however I have a hanes manual and in there it says that the FAST Idle Control Solenoid (2 of them; 1 for power steering; 1 for a/c and the problem happens more when the a/c is on) if bad would NOT report to OBD diagnostics checking, so I'm going to ohm it with a multimeter and see if its good and also clean the IAC and TB and see where that gets me, but obviously there is some problem with oil getting into the air intake to begin with so can anyone help? I'm working on this today so fast response would be great as always. Thanks in advance. |

And I thought this forum was worth it
And I thought this forum was worth it. No one has comments? Is there a better forum for the Nissan Maxima or just cars in general?
