turn signal intermittent problem

I have same problem as others poster here before me. Turn signal sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Hitting emergency signal switch sometimes helps make turn signal work, sometimes doesn't.
My question is, is it the flasher (under the dash by steering column) that needs to be replaced? Or is it the emergency flasher switch on the dashboard?
I sure would appreciate anybody's help. This forum is great.

Re: turn signal intermittent problem

do a search on this forum for flasher and the information should come up.

The flasher is located next to he emergency flasher switch. To get to it the center air vent is removed (to the right of the emergency flasher). The part costs about $25. Should take 30 minutes to 1 hr to replace.

If you want GM to do it it costs $150-350 to fix.
