temp gauge wont work

93 ts with 3.8. istill cant figure out why my temp gauge wont work. i have my fans hard-wired right now but have forgotten to turn them on more than once. it's been over 110 out lately,so i really need to figure this out. any help would be great. thanks.

Does your sensor test correctly? Typically the sensor is just a thermistor (think thermo resistor). The resistance across two pins varies as the temp rises and falls. If that tests ok, then you'll just have to start backtracking the wires seeing if there is a broken wire somewhere.

Someone with a 93 repair manual will have to look up the specific values the sensor should read and the pin outs. Or you could just get a Haynes manual.

You could also put a dummy resistor in to see if the gauge will work.
