are kyb-gr-2-shocks good? cuz im just riding neuspeed coilovers and i dont like it so i want to get some sweet shocks...would these provide a less bouncy ride...but still have the dropped look im going for...and im not talking about slammed im just talking about dropped an inch - inch and a half or something.

Re: are these shocks good?

gr-2's are basically a stock replacement and cant handle much of a drop, and will probably blow out within 2 years im sure. i say to save some more money and get a bit more aggressive shock.

I have KYB AGX and they are pretty nice. They are 4 level adjustable in the front and 8 in the rear. I think Koni Yellow is better though.

Re: are these shocks good?

I'm using a Tokico HP Blue Strut/Spring set. They come matched together. The ride is tight and controlled. Very resonable price too.

Question

I'm also thinking about getting those Tokico Blues but paired with Tein S-Tech lowering springs. Though not much of a drop, would that be too bouncy?

Re: are these shocks good?

I think you'd be ok. Mine aren't too bouncy at all.

Re: are these shocks good?

My friend had stock shocks on the cheap Ebay coilovers, and it was bouncy so he bought some KYB AGX shocks with the cheap coilovers and it rides great. Feels like the car is on rails

The previous owner of my car slapped on some kyb gr-2 struts with some crappy no name ebay coilovers and @#$% are they bouncy. Their uncomfortable even on roads that look perfectly even. I run over some mildly deep potholes and I feel like my head's about to smash through the ceiling.
