Hey all! Great site! I have gotten much info from here, thanks to it's members. Anyway, I have a 96 Intrepid and I want to change out the green LED's in my power window switches to red. I can't get them to work! I soldered in the new red LED's and they don't work. They are 3V 15mA type and I am stumped. Could I have too low of a mA LED? They do offer higher mA ratings. I hope you all can help me here.
Thanks for all the great info!! |

It just occurred to me that maybe I should be using 12V Led's as each switch has it's own capacitors & stuff. If someone knows, plz let me know. Thanks ppl.

Re: Change LED's in window switches
yea dude, you hooked a 12v wire to a 3v diode. Bad idea. you need a resistor. Either go to radio shack and ask them to get them for you, or else get a 12v LED. But that would probably be too bright.
