evo turbo onto a 1.8 LS engine

i was just wondering if mabe instead of looking for a turbo for the mirage would a lancer evolution (any evo) turbo set up be able to be swaped into the mirage engine, would i be able to use the evo manifold or would i have to order one, along with the intercooler piping and other parts. would i also have to modify the internals on the motor.

in short, the answer is yes.

any turbo can be mated to any engine.

but for all the cost of sourcing that stuff, you might as well just have a kit custom fabricated, or find a supplier who builds one for your application.

puttin it easy for ya! no you cant use the evo manifold, yes you can use intercooler with a modification to the front bumper, piping can probably be used but i would just get all new aluminum piping, blow off valve can be used, and no you dont have to mod your internals to run turbo, as long as you keep boost at or around 10 psi daily driven. i have heard of people boosting more and people boosting less, depends on who you are. i suggest injectors, fuel pump, fpr, and a piggy-back, if you do want to boost a bit more get forged conrods and pistons, better spark, and a stand-alone. back to the manifold, there are a couple companies that make turbo manis for the 1.8 fairly cheap, dont go the custom done route by a welding/fab shop, that gets too expensive i was quoted 900 for mine i said no thank you.
