Most pitiful race ever...

I was on my way back from youthgroup tonight, but I was driving a friend's car(Thunderbird 3.8L V6) since he was on some medicine and was a bit loopy. We got to a stop light, and another car pulls up beside us revving and honking. It was an OLD looking VW golf(maybe like late 80s? lol). Idiot driving with one hand, leaned so far back I could barely see him. I wasn't going to race him, but my friend Loren(who was still drowsy as heck) looked at me and moved his shifter from OD to D. LOL. So I'm like what the hell? I feel like I could have churned butter and made pancakes before it would reach 60. I timed it and his car was 0-60 in about 3 days. Keep in mind he had the check engine line glowing, no power steering, and the chassis was making those squeeky noises we all hate so much. The other guy got the initial jump, but somehow the old bird managed to pull on him and win. I was like wow We go again at the next light but I noticed a cop was a little ways back so I only went up to the speed limit so I suppose he thought he won. I really don't care. But a bit further down the road(few minutes later) I'm cruising along and this guy shows up again flying from behind(with a ricer flyby) but this was the stupidest ever: he was revving, honking, and using his hazard lights all at once. What a dummy. He ended up turning left and I never saw him again.

Not the most exciting story, but figured someone would get a kick out of it. Forgot to add: I had 4 people total in the car vs the other guy only.

On a side note the only reason we weren't in my Camaro was because I've got it in the shop getting some stuff done to it and a state inspection. ::Sigh:: I miss my car

My friend Loren who was out of it is actually a member on this board, but I think he only posted a couple times to figure out problems with his car. I can't remember his handle.

They shall rise again
Though lovers be lost love shall not
