Abs

Does the light come on when it engages? Cause it hasn't worked, but today it started working, I think, I hope lol, there's this weird sound coming from the brakes like 10% of the time, it might be the ABS kicking, but it doesn'T seem to engage every time that it should. WTF???

no shouldnt engage all the time. just when you brake hard and the tires lock, only should prevent locking, and only kick it when if feels the wheels locking.

Hard Braking conditions, when your tires lock. Hence the name Anti-Lock Brake System. It wont allow your tires to lock under hard braking conditions. Hard braking is going 30mph, and have to push the brake pedal all the way in, or any speed, to where the pedal is all the way in and you'll feel the pumping motion.

Re: Abs

It's a 92, and also, does the light come on when it engages? Cause today, the light came on and the ABS engaged for like 2 seconds when I braked (wasn't even close to locking up the wheels), but the light stayed on until I turned the car off and then a little later, I braked hard unough to lock up all 4 wheels (on purpose) and it didn't engage and the light didn't come on...something is fucked. lol

Re: Abs

no... no light should engane, if it dose, that is a warning sign... ur ABS is not working right sign..

ABS kicks in right when u want to lock the tiers, try it this way, go on the streets and drive up to 40 mph, slam the breaks, do it at 30, 20 and 10, by then u should get a felling of the ABS point.

BTW, ABS is gay, i can't drive w the ABS, but its a bless in an emergency.

Re: Abs

Yeah, but they know the car, I mean I wouldn't trust some ghetto mechanic who works at George's Mufflers and Shit to touch my HICAS or ABS.

Re: Abs

Well I'm not spending alot on it, if it's like a fuse or something, I'll fix it, but if it's a 500$ repair bill, fuck it, it's coming off.
