I Need Hewlp Fast Plz

ok, i bought the car a couple of days ago (1990 hatch w/ZC) and it all was fine, it came with the swap. the later on the CEL turned on, also the little gray box in the upper right corner of the hood has like a part that braches off and is connected to a wire harness, that part snapped but im not thinking its anything because the metal part is touching plastic so i figure its nothing. Also, I did get my car running again for a second and when i did i tried to turn on the headlights and when i did shit started buggin out then it shut off again. I got the car to run again by moving the snapped part to the ignition box around so im thinking its somthing around there, the ECU was throwing a code with 8 blinks so im gunna check on that. I did check the battery and its fine, also checked all of the fuses and there all good.
