Oil filter

Has anyone used the Fram PH8A or equivalent (part# for Ford V8) oil filter on their Caravan? I noticed a reference to the part # for using this filter on Dodge Trucks for "severe duty" . I found out that the Filter has the same specs (thread, bypass, presure etc.) as the Mopar filter but is about 1.5 times the size and has more filtering capacity.
The reference also noted that if you use the filter, you must prefill it with oil before installing it to minimize "dry start".

Re: Oil filter

My ford ranger uses a PH8A filter, and now you mentioned it, has about the same diameter. However I don't know if the threads are the same on the PH8A and the PH16.

I've used the PH8A (or equivelent) on all of my Mopars (00 CG,98 Jeep,83 Rampage) for a couple of years now. I was just wondering how many other people did and how they would respond to the initial thread.
