Unhappy PLease help...325i...key inserted,but it won't start...

I recently bought 1994 325i,and I tried to start my car this morning...Although I inserted a key,the car does not start.
The key does not even move...
I am wondeting if there was a extra safety thing is going on or
Ive broken something....
Your advice is greatly appriciated!!

No start

Try wiggling the steering wheel while attempting to turn the key, sometims the lock is very tight or wheel is under pressure and she needs some help to get the whell unlocked.
