Problems with CAN bus on 2005 Crown Vics

I am having problems interfacing the on-board diagnostics with the 2005 Crown Victorias. For the 2004, the SAE J1979 protocol works fine.

Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or links to references that might help???

If the car uses the CAN bus system, you need a scan tool capable of interfacing with it. It is not compatible with other protocols.

if you are using a NGS they sell an adapter to get you through till the new laptop based interface is available
