1997 Grand Prix Condenser Replacement
Hi. This is my first post...I'm a nubie...I am looking for information regarding replacement of my '97 Grand Prix condenser. Will I beable to get it out without pulling the radiator? Its tucked in there pretty good. Does anyone know a better way, or do I just have to bite the bullett. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks...

Re: 1997 Grand Prix Condenser Replacement
You will need to pull the radiator on the car in order to remove the condensor. Due to the way the radiator is mounted you will also need to remove the upper motor mounts in order to remove it from the car as well. This isn't a hard job just a PITA to remove because of all the other parts you nee to take off to get to it.

Thanks for the info. I was trying to avoid the engine coolant, tranny fluid mess, but I guess I will have to deal with it. This is a good forum, and I look forward to being part of it in the future. Thanks again.

Just wanted to thank GTP Dad for the info on changing out a condenser on a '97 Grand Prix. I did it over the weekend, and it wasn't too bad. PITA like you said, but glad I did it, and not hired it done. The estimate I got was for 3 hours labor, I did it, took my time, back together in 2.5 hrs. Anyway, thanks again...

Glad it worked out for you. Always much cheaper when you can do the work yourself.
