hi, i found a set of z32 caliper for sale on ebay, it said it can fit S14, is it all i need for the 4pot nissan caliper conversion??? wat else do i need n wat tools do i need to do the conversion???

Brake Pads
Rotors

You might want...

Stainless Steel Brake lines
Master Cylinder from 300ZX if youre gonna do all 4 wheels.
Brake Fluid

but you ARE gonna need either the stock Z32 brake lines or stainless steel lines

other than that, everything bolts up. Unless your car has 4-lugs, then you need the rotors drilled

The stock lines will work if you file the end of the fittings down. that being said SPL SS that have the IF fitting are only 45$

Im doing all four without the Master Cylinder for now just to see how it works out...

From what ive heard on doing all fours and not using the MC its pretty bad.

I just upgraded to the front calipers off a non turbo z32 along w/mc and ss lines all around. The pedal touch is much more responsive and it stops on a dime. Just be sure if you do rotors they match your calipers. I have the 26mm aluminum calipers and I bought brembo rotors that said they were for 26mm, BUT it was a minimum recommended width of 26mm in case you resurface it and all. So the ones that fit the 28mm are actually minumum size of 24mm or something.

you could probably do it but its kinda pointless. you're not gonna notice enough of a difference from several hours of work so either get the rear z32s (make sure you have the mc and ss lines) or just leave the stock 240 calipers. i've got the z32s on the front of my car and they're amazing alone. i'm not in need of serious braking power so doing a rear conversion would basically be for show. to me, adding performance parts that won't be used to their potential is pointless. put things on that you need and that you're going to use.
BUT if you ARE doing some serious track racing then yeah for sure, they'd be pretty sweet. and since the discs would heat up quite a bit, drilling them might stop them from warping or burning the pads. just my opininon

I just though if you need a bigger caliper in the rear might reuse your old front one, which is bigger. I agree with you D-bo, might as well just get a propper 300zx set up.
By the way only with fronts how does you MC do? It does have extra 6 brake cylinders to push.

I've got just fronts w/ stock MC.. It works just fine for me.

not really. I guess maybe, I might have to push it down a tiny bit more, as far as travel goes. But I've had them on my car over a year and a half, so I don't really remember stock feel anymore..
