Progress : Spoon Steering wheel and Hub

Hey Guys,

This is my progress so far on my Spoon steering wheel wor my Revell Honda civic Hatchback. This is my fourth or fifth model i ever made so dont expect anything perfect. Final sanding needs to be done and then its off to be painted flat black, while one piece of the metal coil will be like an anodized blue for where it hooks all together. Srry for crappy pics but my battery was low and thats all i could take.

Yes there is a car with that but it has no paint on it right now so i thought it would be useless to post it up. As for how I made it I was going to keep it secret but i can't so here it goes. First i took the steering wheel off of a Maisto Dodge Viper GTS-R Prepainted kit. Then i had to cut the little thing off the steering colum (SP) that holds the original steering wheel to the colum. Then I had to sand it all smooth and after that was done i had to drill a hole. There was a little circle from the back that i used as a guide to drill through the center. I carefully used a smaller bit and gradually filed a hole big enough to make the wheel fit snug. Then i looked through a couple hundred old springs for one that fit the pin that the steering wheel is on and i pushed it all together. i could do a full picture tut if you guys want.
