Angry Alarm/Panic feature activates itself on '02 Escort

I have an '02 Escort 4 door. Now, only when I park the vehicle, lock the doors, and get out of the car, the panic/alarm feature (honking horn, ect) activates itself usually within 10-15 minutes. Sometimes its an hour or two. If I dont lock the car, there is no problem.

Any ideas what this may be? Or, is there a specific fuse or something that I can pull, to deactivate the alarm/panic feature on the car? It is an Escort.............and not a Rolls Royce. I can do without the alarm/panic feature, especially when a dealership would probably bleed me dry ($$$$$) to tell me what is wrong with it and to fix it.

For now, I just dont keep valuables in it and dont lock it.
Thanks
