Well i just got the check from the insurance company today, and it was 2500 bucks for the damages....not even close to the amount i bought it for plus the cost of mods but it's better than nothing....so i'm adding that 2500 to the 5500 i already have saved and i come up with a grand total of 8,000 dollars...hehe...definitely enough to get a new bike but i still don't know which one i should purchase....i have test ridden a GSXR-750 and that was hella fast compared to my old F3 CBR 600...but there are still other options i would like to pursue...anyways vote and give me a reason why...thanks dudes and dudettes...

Re: My CBR 600 Got Owned.....PT.2
It would help to know what type of riding you plan to do. Seeing as how your sig has a hayabusa listed as a future purchase, im guessing you're a straight-liner?

Re: My CBR 600 Got Owned.....PT.2
i try to get on a track once a month but used my bike for more roll on races on the highways than on the track....so i suppose the majority of my riding is done in a straight line....however i still would like a semi nimble bike...i know the hayabusa is not that...hehe it would probably get beat by a gixxer 750 on a track...but in a straight line....see ya later gixxer...

Re: My CBR 600 Got Owned.....PT.2
I really love my R6, so if I were in the market again i'd buy one in a hearbeat. The only other bike i'd really consider would be a 600RR. Most of my riding is either track days or twisty mountain stuff, though. Ever since seeing an article of a pro stock rider getting a stock 600 in the 9's by compressing the forks I dont see any more than that being necessary.

compressing the forks? explain...i know what that is but i don't see how it would help the bike...interesting...

Re: My CBR 600 Got Owned.....PT.2
He took tie downs and compressed the forks with them. That helped keep the front end on the ground and he broke into the 9's pretty easily.

generally, a bike with longer wheelbase is less prone to wheelie and has more stability, bikes with shorter wheelbase is more flickable. I believe the RR and R6 has the shortest wheelbase of all sportbikes currently. I'm guessing the guy who compressed his forks had to brake with the rear or took real long time braking. Because I don't see how you can brake at high speed with forks fully compressed and the front end doesn't tuck. btw, Chunk, you can always wait until september/october to see what all the manufactures would unveil. Except for Suzuki and ZX-6R, they're all more or less up for redesigns/revisions.
