Why do you think it needs to be rebuilt?

Yes you can rebuild it, but I recommend just getting a new short block. Last time a checked a whole new short block was $1800. Then have you head cleaned up, checked out, milled if nessicary, replace any bad valves or port/polish with 1mm over valves, but in new stem seals, and reassemble.

As for the turbos, you might find a decent set cheap used, or just go single. a cast manifold and a T66 is pretty cheap.

Keep the boost down, and build the fuel system before you go over 13psi with the single.

this will be rock solid and last for years and years.

But I agree with the above poster, why do you think it needs a rebuild?

Run a compression test, and have the oil pan dropped and inspect the crank, and bearings.

If the compression test comes out ok, and everything looks ok, then there is no reason to rebuild it. Toyota builds incrediable motors, don't rebuild it unless it needs it.
