dual exhaust

The owner of a local speed shop I go to
said that you loose horsepower with dual exhaust
Is that true? And is 5zigen exhaust the loudest?

Yeh i've also heard that. My friend has 1998 prelude sh with dual custom exhaust. Well it i see more smoke comin out on the rite side then the left. So i think that the second exhuast don't do shit. He did it for show anyways.....:apuke:

Instead of 2 mufflers just get a single inlet dual outlet one then get some custom piping and you have the look of dual exhuast and the performance of only having a single muffler...

Dual exhaust

Mainly, its just added weight. Dual exhaust on a 4 banger doesn't really do much good. Looks kinda cool, but prolly better off without it. I agree with JohnnyM if you gotta have dual...

dual exhaust on a honda wont really do anything for you unless you got a lot of turbo or supercharger. something thats gonna make a lot more exhaust to fill those extra pipes. without that it would just add weight..maybe lose some backpressure..not a big deal though for something for show.
