Re: Downpipe!

Depends on what you want.

I've seen posts of people very happy with the ones from e-bay in the 100-150 range.

I personally wanted one with the flex sections. (st least the one between the engine and the catback. I went with the one from e2k development (e2kmfg on 3si.org's forumes) it was $265 shipped and the build quality is exellent.

Re: Downpipe!

I'm not a fan of hte ebay ones. Poor welds, and I've heard of some fitment issues. In the FAQ there is a comparison on downpipes that John Monnin wrote, which I think is great.

I got my ATR from 3sx for like $360, not cheap, but worth it IMO.

Re: Downpipe!

Well why spend more on a stock one, when you can get an aftermarket one that adds hp and is cheaper?

Re: Downpipe!

I expect the fact that the front and rear Y together rathers than T'ing would provide a bit of extra peformance. I have not installed it yet. So I can not be sure.

Re: Downpipe!

I Bought a ATR downpipe and its a very nice peice and worth every penny... it cost my $400+ but its has very nice quality. its even had a extender to be welded up so if you wanted to remove the cat or not. the 02 bungs... well any exhaust shop can put those in for 10 bucks... i had one put into mine for my wideban.
