G8!?

So, I was playing around with Wikipedia and found out on thier Grand Prix article that in 2007-08 they may be replacing the GP with a new model dubbed the G8.

This is where I received more detailed info:

http://www.gminsidenews.com/futureguide1.htm

I have yet to find any photos or concept drawings, but from what I read it will be a RWD platform and they will be placing a 3.9 V6 or 5.3L V8. It may also just be replacing the disc. Bonneville line. However, that will have to be seen.

I guess this will please the audience who wanted a RWD platform in the Grand Prix line. Other sources I have read into say that this may be a GTOish looking model, for which may kill any faith I had left in the Pontiac line.

However, that's still 2-3 years away. So we will have to wait and see .

Cheers

Re: G8!?

Wow, I dont like how they said that they were going to discontinue the 3800 motors and that the trailblazers will be gettin a different look in the 2007/2008 and will have a V8 in the small verson, they need to keep the "HUGE" inline 6 or make a bigger one. But then again, this is my opinion

Re: G8!?

With talks about getting rid of the 3800 for a 3.9 L V6 and even dropping a V-10 in the Silverado, GM still is not seeing the high oil prices yet...
