99 boxster 2000mi help me!!!

hey eveyone, this is my first post to this forum. ive been looking into getting a boxster for a while. i love the way this car looks. ive found a 99 with 2000mi for $24,000. i just wanna get your opinion on this deal, and any other reliability issue i should know about. with this mileage is the warranty still available??? and how many people out there do self maintenance on there boxsters? are these cars easy cars to work on? i own a turbo miata, that ive worked on myself. but i have 0 experience with any porsche.
