93 Celica 5th Gen. will not start

Having a problem with my 93 celica, seems to be a rare find. It's a 93 with a 5th Gen. engine. One day while driving along it started spuddering to a stop as if it had ran out of gas. However, this was not the case, I have tried the following:

1. Changed the timing belt, However, to find that the old belt was just fine.

2. Changed the fuel pump.

3. Changed the fuel regulator, verified that it is getting fuel to the rail.

4. Checked the ohmage values at the distrubutor, coil, and ignitor. They check out fine.

5. Varified that it's indeed getting spark.

6. Last but not least checked all of the vac. hoses.

.....and after all of this it just turns over without starting. However, every now and then it tries to start and will one out of hundered starts run fine at idle, but quickly dies if you give it gas. What am I missing here. At my whits end... ....taking all suggestions!!!!!

You made sure your battery was fine right? I had that happen once and my alternator had come loose and within two minutes my lights and stereo killed the battery.

Yes, the battery is fully charged, but it just turns over and over without starting.

A 1993 Celica IS a 5th gen...

Im fully aware of that, what I mean is that it's hard to find one that has been junked. You find 3gen engine parts by the dozen, but to find a 93 celica is just very rare I've looked.

Have you found the problem? I am having the exact same problem with my Celica. I am working on it today so if I find it I will let you know.
