Re: want to remove my A/C
you can leave it but shits gonna come out when u take the lines off the compressor, might be a little, might be alot, just be prepared to duck and run.all it did to me was burn my hand for a min. once u take the lines off the compressor they will empty so go ahead and remove them from the firewall after that.

Re: want to remove my A/C
Just releave the pressure from the service port. Just stick a screw driver in it like you would if you were letting air out of a tire.

Re: want to remove my A/C
Try taking it to a shop and have them evacuate it for you. That way you don't release that crap into the air.

Don't be a jackass and destroy the environment; take it to a service station and let them drain it.

Re: want to remove my A/C
Welli figured i would see how much would come out if i bleed the lines myself, to do so i put rod in that fitting that looks like the stem where you fill your tires. nothing came out so i then causiously loosened a bolt that holds the lines on the compresser and didnt hear anything so i am assuming that the lines are empty, am i right?

Re: want to remove my A/C
Most likely... remove that crap and enjoy sweating in the heat like the rest of us with A/C deleted...
...oh yeah, and increased/unlocked hp too...

Re: want to remove my A/C
It weighs aprox 45 lbs. The compressor is on a clutch, if its turned off your loosing pretty much 0 hp.
