wiring

86 ford thunderbird 5.0....we have no fire to spark plugs and no fire to the injectors but we have power to the coil. coil is new distributor is good and relays are good. could it possilbly be the ecm....any test i could perform? we put in a new ignition module and the car started and when we turned it back off car would not start, The module shows to be good. any clue to as to next step? thanks!!!

you can go and do a google search for self testing fords for trouble codes and it will show you how to hook up an amp meter into your diagnostic plug under your hood,,I was just at the site the other day but dont remeber the URL it had a diagram on how to do this,,,ooopps wait I found it lol. ( http://autorepair.about.com/library/...bl-dtcs-60.htm ) go here and then scroll down and it will show you how to check it for codes. good luck!! post a reply when you find out what the codes are this site also gives you a list of the trouble codes.
