a/c fan noise

I just got my car back from the shop after having a new multipurpose switch installed to take car of the light blinking problem. Unfortunately, now my a/c fan makes noise like something is rubbing on the fan blades. The noise seems to be emanating from up in the dash on the left side. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas what might be the cause and best fix? Thanks in advance.
