Unhappy Problem with my car

Hey everyone,

I have a problem with my car and Id really like a second opinion before I pay a lot of $$ to get it fixed....I have a 1996 Grand Am SE, V6, automatic. Whenever I turn it on...its fine, it shifts fine, however, when I press down on the accelerator it doesnt go past 35. It seems as though the car doesnt have any power at all...I was told it could be a number of things...but like i said just wanted to get a second opinion.....

Thank you

Re: Problem with my car

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like a clogged catalytic converter to me - would be my first guess.
